San Diego Charger tickets are already in high demand, several months before the season even opens. Fans, loyal for years, are excited about a new year and the possibilities open to them starting September 5, 2009. Deals are still being made, as to who they are trading, keeping, and who they are picking up, but that will not stop fans from anticipating a spectacular year and hope of a championship title.

With drafting in full swing, the San Diego chargers are focusing their efforts towards new talent only - college graduates. They are steering away from trades as they are positive of their weaknesses and know that only the new players - entering the league - will strengthen them. Management; however, will make a change in their decision if they deem it necessary so surprises are still likely to occur. Regardless, fans are gitty with anticipation.

Barron Hilton, Conrad Hilton’s son, was the original owner of the Chargers. In that time (the late 50’s), managing a football team was nowhere near as tedious as it is today. Rather than waiting eight months for all of the details to be straightened out, draft and trade deals were complete within a matter of a couple months.

Their first year, on the field, actually took place in Los Angeles in 1960. It was not until the following year - 1961 - that the Chargers were in their home of San Diego. Sid Gillman coached players like Lance Alworth, John Hadl, and Paul Lowe to greatness. Alworth, in fact, is part of the Hall of Fame. Even though the fans were not climbing out of the woodworks, the team was beginning to get a solid following.

It was not long before the franchise was sold, and changes began to be made. At this time, the team had a chance to play NFL teams that were Super Bowl Champions, like the New York Jets. Not only did the Chargers have the chance to play them, but they also won! More changes were in the works as they coach - Gillman - became aware of health problems and had to step down. Luckily, Charlie Waller, offensive backfield coach, was ready and willing to take his place and bring the team to victory.

The San Diego Chargers are currently fighting their way towards their well-deserved Championship title. Near the end of the season in 2008 the team was at a 7-win, 8-loss record. This, right here, made fans begin digging for an available ticket they could find.

By the end of the season, the Chargers were in a place to face the Denver Broncos. They were so pumped; there was no stopping them as they trampled the Broncos with an ending score of 52-21. This win carried the Chargers into the playoffs as fourth seed, and as the AFC Western Division champions.

With a new season approaching - 2009 - fans are dying to see the improvements from last year, along with new team members. Management knows the teams weaknesses, and will only accept players who strengthen the weak points - they are only improving what they thought was broken last year. With all the hype and anticipation, San Diego Charger season tickets will sell out quicker than they ever have before.
