Thieves: Arrogant, uninteresting adaptation of Herb Gardner’s play in regards to insane couple trying to recollect their innocence in a corrupt N.Y.C. Corey as Thomas’ cabbie dad adds only life to so-hailed comedy. Bob Fosse has a concise role. Cast includes Marlo Thomas, Charles Grodin, Irwin Corey, Hector Elizondo, Mercedes McCambridge, John McMartin, Gary Merrill, and Ann Wedgeworth. (92 minutes, 1977)
