Let me take you back a few years. It is Christmas Eve. You are running about the house pausing every few moments to strain your ears for any sound resembling sleigh bells, flight or a boisterous ‘ho, ho, ho’. What you do hear is mom calling that it is time to open a gift.
The first gift
You race as fast as you can to the tree. You hardly dare believe your ears: open a gift, now, tonight? Older siblings greet the news with less enthusiasm, and rather knowing expressions. Missing these subtle clues you tear into your box expecting to find the toy of your dreams. What you get are PJ’s.
Your childish heart is only momentarily dampened, older siblings dive into new jammies with familiarity and gratitude. This scene repeats every year. You can mark holidays in photos by what jammies you are wearing, not the gift you open.
A New Night Dress
Flash forward; you are the parent creating and contemplating holiday traditions. As you and your spouse begin a family the need for holiday traditions becomes more personal and warm. Your baby may not remember opening a red pair of footie PJ’s, but the photos will tell the story.
Christmas pajamas are a great way to curb, control or reward your toddler’s Christmas enthusiasm. Knowing there is a special gift under the tree that they get to open on Christmas Eve will occupy their attention and relieve pestering questions of, “When can I open my presents?”…or “Can’t I open just one?”
The practical side
As a toddler or child, it may not have occurred to you that your yearly gift of pajamas was not only fun, but practical. Christmas is in winter, and kids grow so fast. Often there is a need for warm pajamas that fit, which perfectly coincides with the advent of the holiday season. Making the necessary item into a fun tradition is a great way to meet two needs with one solution.
Toddler appeal
New parents might worry that their toddler will be less than pleased with this gift and feel cheated on Christmas Eve. This feeling of being slighted may lead their precious toddler to spoil the holiday spirit with a full-blown tantrum! Well, this is not usually the case. Toddlers just love to open gifts. They might show a preference for one toy over another once they are all opened, but if there is only one gift opened this is not an issue.
Toddlers also love to be included with what their parents or older siblings are doing. If mom, dad as well as brothers and sisters all get jammies, then your two year old is not going to be disappointed.

Coming up with creative daycare activities is often the most difficult things about the childcare business, which is even more true with the broad range of ages you might have. You obviously want to promote some positive result, such as learning, but the activities must also be age appropriate for each child. Most importantly you need to make it fun, or you will surely lose the child’s interest.
It is likely that you will participate in some of the activities, but it is also necessary to have some activities ready which can keep them busy for awhile. This will allow you to look after a few of your other important duties. With all this on your mind, it can sometimes seem like you are doing the same daycare activities repeatedly. Here are a few simple activities to mix things up a bit, but still keep things beneficial and fun for the children.
Daycare centers should definitely offer some free play time. This will allow the children to develop their social skills and their creativity. You will also need to set up some daycare activities that are structured. Remember to allow the children to draw and write, but doing this too often might become boring and the children might lose interest.
Choose a Theme
Theme based daycare activities are always fun and popular with the children. Base your activities on any sort of theme you like. The possibilities here are endless. Animals, colors, careers, holiday or seasonal themes are some ideas to get you started. Or just about anything else you can think of. Some activities could be arts or crafts, or maybe a coloring or drawing contest, for example.
Try Acting Out A Story
Another neat idea is to come up with some type of story line and have the children act it out. You come up with the idea, and let the children create the story from there. This really lets them show off their creative side, and children of any age could participate. You could also take it a step further and allow the children to create their own costumes and props. This is a great way add some variety to your daycare activities.
Leave It To Them
If you are out of ideas something else you can try is to just ask the children what it is that they would like to do. Pick one day out of each week to be kid’s choice day. After each child suggests an idea you could then take turns until everybody’s ideas are presented. Not only will this give the children confidence and a sense of accomplishment, but it is fun as well.
Everyone Helping Out
Sometimes children like to help out adults with regular tasks, so try incorporating some of your daycare activities into the daily chores as well. Doing big people jobs gives them a sense of importance. Something as simple as arranging a book shelf or setting the table is good enough for them. If the child is actively involved and having fun, then it doesn’t really matter exactly what the task is.

The feeling of carrying another living being in your womb is the most special time of a woman’s life. It is a time of physical, mental and emotional transformation for the woman. Anxiety and uncertainty marks the great deal of excitement accompanying these changes. However, worries and having sleepless nights are uncalled for. The nine months of journey would be pleasant if one has a better knowledge and appreciation of these transformations.
The first pregnancy trimester is marked from conception to 12 or 14 weeks from the last normal menstrual cycle. A woman often experiences morning sickness (vomiting and nausea), tiredness, tender breast and frequent urination during this stage. To prevent nausea, it is recommended to take small frequent meals. The expectant mother may have alternate periods of activity and rest. The best exercise at this stage is walking.
Often considered as the “Golden Period” of pregnancy is the second trimester. During this stage, the physically demanding signs and symptoms of pregnancy have subsided. There are better sleep patterns, a paramount sign of advancement in the healthy pregnancy process. It is also during this time that the most joyful moment is experienced by the mother-to-be. The first heartbeat of the baby can be heard; moreover, an ultrasound usually done in around 19 weeks may make one feel the diverse movements of your bundle of joy. The ugly stretch marks, which is a cause for worries for women may become visible. Do not scratch the abdominal area to lessen the chances of pregnancy stretch marks.
During the final pregnancy stage, the third trimester, the fetus becomes too huge to move in the uterus. Because of the increased growth of the fetus, the future mom may feel tired and experience shortness of breath. Usually, the fetuses settle into a head-down position in the uterus at the end of this period. Now, one should be well prepared for the baby’s arrival.
A woman also experience many lifestyle changes during pregnancy. Harmful substances such as nicotine and alcohol should be avoided. Smoke from cigarettes can cause low birth weight in babies as well as miscarriages and tubal pregnancies. The same can be said for alcohol and other toxic chemicals and substances such as paint fumes, they are not conducive for a healthy pregnancy.
The diet or prenatal nutrition is another essential lifestyle change during pregnancy. It is important to eat a healthy diet and increase water intake, about 6 to 8 glasses a day. Vitamins and nutrients found in the food are imperative to the health of a developing baby and the well being of the mother as well as supplemental vitamins. Exercise and getting adequate rest and sleep are also important. To help alleviate swelling, fatigue, and backache, regular activity such as walking, yoga, and swimming should be done.
Giving birth is undeniably one of the most magical moments of a woman’s existence. To render certain that your child is strong and happy, it is essential you do all you can to have a healthy pregnancy.
If you need to prove who the father of the baby you are carrying is, paternity test can be done after giving birth. To perform the legal paternity testing, DNA material from both the baby and from the alleged father is needed. The DNA paternity test is very much close to 100% accuracy.

Well, I am happy (and sad) to say that my son is finally turning six. It seems like just yesterday that he was born, and well, I guess reality is finally sinking in – we are all getting older.
With his birthday coming up, we have been looking for a gift for him and I think that we have found exactly what he wanted – a cheap Nintendo DS. I bet he will be thrilled when he opens his present – he has been asking for one for a long time.
We decided to get a cheaper one since Christmas is coming up and we’ll need as much extra money kicking around as possible – he might just need to get a game for Christmas.

If you are a parent of younger children just like I am, be warned that getting that new LCD television might not be the best idea. Just keep reading to learn why it might not be the best idea, and if you do get one, how to protect it from your kids.
You see, I had the bright idea one day to buy a 32" LCD TV to replace our old tube TV that we had for years. I wanted to get a high definition television as it is the way things are going and I wanted to make sure that we didn’t just waste our money buying an ancient TV.
After taking it home and setting it up, you could clearly see the difference. I was rather proud of my purchase and was looking forward to spending a lot of time in front of the television.
At least I thought this way before my daughter got to the TV. She decided that she would color all over it with a pen, and in the end, my television was ruined. I was mad that the salesman had not suggested some TV screen protectors as an add-on to my purchase. It would have saved my television and some of my money.
So, when I went to pickup a new TV, I made sure to buy a TV screen protector too. I don’t want to go through what I did ever again.

The designer shoe term is mostly used to reference the stylish shoes worn by today’s youth. But what most don’t know is that the designer shoe craze is now appealing to adults, the elderly, and most of all- the women of the world who just want a more comfortable shoe.
Because the world is becoming more health-conscious, designer shoes are becoming more popular for all demographics- not just women. If a proper running routine is going to be maintained, the runner is going to need a shoe that will endure the constant stress of a steady jog over a period of months or a couple of years. Designer shoes are up to the challenge, while most other subpar shoes fall short.
Women are notorious for wearing shoes that not only hurt their feet, but cause some health defects if they are worn for a long period of time. This is a rather silly thing to do, especially when considering women can instead buy designer shoes that provide for more support and comfort- yet don’t leave out the sophistication that women desire.
The typical woman will likely have a fascination with buying as many shoes as possible- or at the very least have a knack for buying more shoes than they actually need. Most women will say that they need different shoes for different occasions- but designer shoes for women are now able to fit every occasion in terms of style and comfort. If nothing else, a woman will only have specific need for a couple of pairs of designer shoes for most occasions.
Women are no strangers to shopping- but they also don’t like spending much for a pair of shoes. At the very least, their husbands or fathers might have something to say about spending a couple hundred of dollars on a simple pair of shoes. Thankfully most designer shoes can be had at wholesalers for about the same price as regular shoes- one just needs to know where to look and who to contact.
The Internet has become a vast marketplace- one of which can be a little tough to decipher if you are new to it. To ensure you are buying from a reputed dealer who is not going to take your money and run, it’s recommended that you talk to friends, family members, or look at online reviews of a website before buying from them. If they are registered with the Better Business Bureau, go ahead and check their ranking in satisfaction.
In Conclusion
As time shows, designer shoes are steadily becoming more popular for all ages, genders, and nationalities. We can only hope that the many benefits designer shoes offer will continue to skyrocket as demand follows suit.

Some Simple Potty Training Tips That Can Prove To Be Very Effective
One of the most important milestones in a child?s life as well as in the life of their parents is when the child becomes capable of independently using the toilet. What?s more, there are certainly very few parents on this planet that will relish the idea of having to spend their time changing diapers, especially after their child has gone past their second birthday. Nevertheless, children will respond differently to potty training. Some factors that influence how well they respond include their own aptitude, ability to grasp new concepts as well as the potty training techniques used to teach them to potty unaided.
Your Child Must Be Ready To Learn
Perhaps the first potty training tip worth following is to ensure that your child is ready to learn how to potty. In fact, it is also a good idea to teach them the advantages of staying clean by telling them that it would mean saying bye-bye to diaper rash and not needing to be interrupted just because the nappies need to be changed.
In a similar vein, another potty training tip worth considering is that you could turn the potty training exercise into a ritual that can be repeated. This in turn should result in making the child learn just what is expected of them and so he will make an effort to get used to the routine of using the potty whenever it becomes necessary to eliminate or relieve him or herself.
You can also take advantage of other useful potty training tips including making use of props in order to teach your child the right way to potty and in this regard you can use toys, books, videos and even music which can help in creating a conducive atmosphere in which to learn how to potty.
You should also try and repeat the whole teaching process as often as possible including even every two to four minutes. If you time these lessons to coincide with the time when the child usually needs to use the toilet you can achieve better results. Also, whenever your child does the right thing and goes to the toilet instead of soiling his clothes, you must praise him and even giving a small reward with which to buttress your efforts is recommended.
The last, though by no means the most insignificant potty training tip is showing your child how to clean themselves up after using the potty. If you also ensure being patient as well as persevere in your efforts, you will find that by using these potty training tips, your efforts will soon be rewarded and your child will become potty trained.

No daughter ever loved her dad and mom more than Ashley loved her adopted parents. Yet Ashley was still haunted by questions about where she came from, and the people who had biologically created her. She had spent years searching for information on them, but all she knew for certain was her biological mother’s address and location at the time Ashley was born.
The adoption agency to which Haley had been surrendered as an infant refused to provide her any more details about her birth parents, and her thousands of hours spent scouring the Internet with her birth mother’s name had proved fruitless. Haley had never felt more discouraged about her chances of locating her biological parents, yet she knew they were the only ones in the world who could answer her questions about herself.
Ashley wondered which of her birth parents she most closely resembled. She wondered why they had found it necessary to surrender her for adoption. But most of all, she wanted to let them know that she was well, happy, and had very grateful for the chance to have a wonderful life with her adoptive mom and dad.
Ashley struggled on with her search so that she could finally meet and talk to her birth parents, or simply to know if they were still living and their locations. But she was almost ready to admit that she’d run out of ideas when she made one last trip to the adoption agency and talked with a new employee.
She wondered if this woman would give her the information she needed. As she asked, the woman began to shake her head before Haley even finished her question. Apologetically, the woman told Haley that she couldn’t give out any information.
But then Haley was taken completely by surprise. The adoption agency staffer told her that while the agency couldn’t answer her questions, there was a website which could help her locate her birth parents. With the site’s URL hastily scribbled on a scrap of paper, Haley rushed home and immediately logged onto the site, which was a reverse records website. She anxiously typed her biological mother’s name into the search box.
And all at once, Haley’s search was over! The website immediately provided her birth mother’s address and phone number, and did in seconds what Haley had been unable to do in years. Haley could now write to her birth mother, or even phone her and hear her voice for the very first time.
Within seconds, the website provided her with a new address and phone number. Haley absolutely could not believe it. All these years she had searched and within seconds, she had found out where her real mother was. After coming to terms with the situation, Haley finally dialed the number that had popped up on the website.
When the woman’s voice answered, Haley said, “Hi. My name is Haley and I am looking for my birth mother. Did you give a baby girl up for adoption thirty three years ago?” There was a long pause and the woman on the other line began to sob.
Although Ashley has still not been able to meet her biological father, they speak on the phone from time to time. And Ashley will never forget the adoption agency employee who gave her the URL of that website.

With the cost of living increasing by the year, more and more families are becoming double income families where both the parents go to work. If yours is also such a household and if you have small children who are unable to look after themselves, then it is quite likely that you have a nanny to look after your children. However, do you know what your nanny is up to when you’re at work? Can you be sure that your children are being looked after the way they should be? Are you worried that your nanny may be neglecting your children in your absence, or worse yet abusing them in some way?
Well, you can get all the answers to these questions by using a Nanny Cam. A nanny cam is a type of camera that is used to keep an eye on your kids and the nanny while you’re away from home. Such surveillance cameras are typically hidden from view so that the nanny does not know they are there. The nanny cams can be wireless or with a wire attached. In a perfect world, there would be no need for parents to use nanny cams as they would be able to trust their nannies and know that their children are getting the best childcare possible.
When buying a nanny cam, or hidden camera, you need to keep in mind what it is that you want to accomplish with it, and you need to keep it what it is, a hidden camera. If your child never plays with stuffed animals then chances are you do not want a stuffed animal hidden camera. This is especially true if your babysitter or nanny would have the desire to play with it and move it, therefore taking it out of position. The nanny hidden spy cameras are manufactured and disguised in the form of stuffed animals, soda cans, wall clocks, radios, mirrors, vases, and even picture frames.
This will give parents the peace of mind to know that they have something to rely on that will provide some type of protection for their children. Hidden wireless cameras add safety and security to every home and business. It provides a security level that is necessary in this society that we live in. No more can people be totally trusted to perform their duties when you are absent. The nanny wireless hidden camera is a parent’s best friend. There are so many types to choose from though you will not have a problem finding one that is right for you.
In addition to using a nanny cam to ensure the safety of your children, make sure to interview every applicant for the job of nanny, thoroughly. By being thorough in your selection process, and then using a nanny cam for a few days to keep an eye on the nanny, you can ensure that your childcare provider is doing a great job. There are many types of nanny cams available in the market and it can get quite confusing choosing the right one for your needs. www.my-spycam.com is a great place to begin your search for the perfect nanny cam. In addition to helping you pick the right product as per your requirements, the website also has some great deals on offer.
