Romantic Holidays Around the World

One of the things that I find living in North America is that we have our own holidays and customs.  If you have never traveled outside of the country, then you would be unaware that other parts of the world have their own special days as well.

A good example would be the one that I found on a dating blog.  Now, I came across this blog by accident, but I found the content interesting so I took a read.

What I learned is that over in Japan and Korea, they celebrate White day which is very similar to our Valentines day.  The difference being that it is on March 14th, and they also observe some other customs.

Now, you could look at this as something new and embrace it - instead of taking your wife out just for Valentines day, you could always take a trip and celebrate other romantic holidays around the world.

What Losses are Covered by Visitors Health Insurance

by C. Ray Sondeo

Visitor insurance is an insurance that pays for the medical costs of the insured if he or she falls ill due to covered causes or due to accidents. An insurer can be a private organization or a government agency. The main purpose of visitors insurance is to cover medical expenses and any lost income while individual is not well or unable to function normally.

The visitors insurances bears various costs pertaining to different terms. In case of a loss of job there may be a threat of losing your coverage. The premiums you need to pay can also increase and lead to the emergence of deductibles. At times visitor insurance plans tend to be very expensive. Contrary to this the health saving accounts make arrangements of reasonable plans that stay with you even if you lose your job. You family is also protected and is ensured proper coverage.

Professional indemnity insurance protects you against your legal liability for the losses suffered by your customers as a result of your negligent advice. Professional indemnity insurance is based upon “claim made basis”, or anytime you stop trading, take up retirement, hold a permanent job, a smart decision would be to buy run off cover for at least 12 months after that in case a claim is made against you, after your policy has expired for work done previously.

Some visitor health insurances like Public liability insurance covers you against accidents of public or damage to property due to business activities. Even if you wok from home you need a public liability cover. If your customers or clients are likely to come at your house then this policy can offer you excellent coverage in case they injure themselves in your premises.

Some of the Visitor health insurance and Visitor medical insurance also help you in dealing with your private medical treatments. These visitors health insurance plans help you in securing effective treatments without much waiting period. If you suffer from any critical illness then the policy takes care of all the expenses. So make sure that you have medical insurance in case you suffer from any kind of illness.

Pharmaceutical coverage is also included in visitor medical insurance. The costs of prescription drugs continue to rise faster than the costs covered by the insurance. The elderly are most dependent on the drugs prescribed by the doctors which Medicare does not cover. Prescription drug expenses account for about 34 percent of medical expenditures.

Even if you are covered by a group insurance at work, it is always advised to take individual policies because certain benefits are availed in individual policies rather than group policies. Visitor medical insurance also cover your medical evacuations, prescribed drugs dental expenses, X-rays, intensive care, hospital room, emergency medical reunion, accidental death and dismemberment, diagnostics and so on.

In a health policy, coinsurance refers to percentage of medical bills that the insured will have to pay after deductible is met. A policy called ’stop-loss’ is provided by visitors insurance, which is the maximum amount to be paid for covered medical bills. Health insurance policies have also started helping poor children.

Due to other evils like unemployment, the number of people applying for visitor insurance policies is reducing day by day.

Taking Breaks without Getting Sick While Traveling

by Peter Wilson

Getting motion sickness is something that many people have to deal with. Many will refer to it as ?camel sickness? because of the Bible. This is where the people that rode the camels would experience nausea because of the motion of moving back and forth.

Because of new world of today, there are different types of motion sickness. There is carsickness, space motion sickness, and airsickness. This is the reason that more and more people are now getting to their destinations through air because they will get there quicker.

Airsickness is going to refer to the feeling of nausea that is triggered by motion that is experienced when the aircraft is going to reach higher altitudes. Some of the common signs of being airsickness are going to be loss of appetite, burping, stomach awareness and increased salvation.

Besides what most people believe, being airsick is not a disorder. It is normal for many to feel this way because of the difference in the way the body is. Airsickness is due to the problems between what people see and what they get from their inside feelings. The differences between what they see and what they fee are going to cause confusion of the brain and this will give set of the bad feelings.

For some pilots, being airsick is a concern. There are surveys that say that 29% of the aircraft pilots are going to have to deal with being airsick. This will keep them from being able to do their job. This is why some have come up with ways to not get sick in the air. Here are some tips how:

Stress and other forms of anxiety should be avoided. There are studies that show that tow of the most common forms of airsickness is stress and even anxiety. It is will increase the cause of being airsick. This is because the body will have a more difficult time dealing with the sudden change in the atmosphere. There are going to be emotional reasons that will trigger the brain to be confused. ? Before deciding to travel, you should eat lightly. Having too large of a meal is only going to make it worse and make the brain more confused and this can cause you to become airsick. This step helped me avoid airsickness on my flights to and from Spain. ? If you are on a plane it is best for you to stay in one place and do not have too much movement going on. ? People should deal with the condition and try to get used to the situation. This will occur a few moments after being in the sky. ? Being airsick can be a big problem. You have to get used to the way your body feels and avoid the conflict that your senses are going through.

The Ins and Outs of Visitors insurance

by C. Ray Sondeo

The visitors insurance ins and outs can offer great benefits if understood properly. You will four kinds of visitor insurance plans which include comprehensive plans, specialty coverage plans, accidental plans and fixed benefit plans. Visitors medical insurance and visitor insurance belong to these various plans. Visitor health insurance policies also come under these headings.

Fixed coverage plans are also called as scheduled benefit plan. These type of plan is much cheaper than that of the comprehensive coverage plans. In fixed coverage plan you initially have to to pay a certain amount that can be on the basis of every incident, illness or policy duration. Then for every procedure such as doctor’s fee of $55, ambulance service $450 etc are paid by the insurance company in a set of maximum amount after paying the deductible. But in this type of visitors insurance if the expense increase we have to pay the difference beyond that. In such type of visitors insurance there is no such way to find out exactly how many percent of the actual expense would be covered.

Comprehensive plans are more suitable and offer greater advantages. Visitor medical insurance and visitor health insurance policies pay 80% of the total amount of expenses and you pay the remaining 20%. The amount limit of these plans is $5000. After you cross this amount the policy takes care of the entire amount. Thus comprehensive visitor insurance proves to be very convenient and beneficial.

Almost all the comprehensive coverage plans are PPO plans. Many providers are contracted by the insurance company all over the country so that they directly participate in the network accept the insurance card and bill the insurance company and charge the network negotiated fees that are lower than the regular fees.

The specialty coverage plans are similar to the comprehensive coverage plan in many aspects but the benefits may not be present or be limited or out of the pocket expenses may be lot more than the standard comprehensive coverage. The accidental coverage insurance plan is different than the fixed or comprehensive plans. It has limited or no coverage for sickness/disease but it works like a comprehensive coverage plan for accidents or injuries.

Therefore, the accidental coverage plan and the visitor medical insurance or the visitor health insurance are different types of visitors insurance. These are the common visitors insurance ins and outs regarding the types of insurance that should be familiar.

You should buy any type of insurance that you want from the country you are visiting such as the USA. The health insurance card that you get has the id number, claims filing address in the US, toll-free number in the US that the doctor’s office can call to verify the coverage. The doctor’s office needs this kind of information to bill insurance company directly.

The effective date of the insurance plan can start the day you leave your home country or a further date that you specify. If you prefer to have your insurance plan started on the day of your departure then the insurance can cover the eligible medical expenses during the journey as well. Therefore, you don’t need a travel insurance plan just for your journey.

Hence, these are the visitors insurance ins and outs that you must keep in mind before you buy any sort of visitor insurance.

A Big Expense Made Less Painful

by Amy Nutt

A vacation can be a big expense. To cancel a vacation can be an even bigger expense. That is why it is important to buy the right kind of travel insurance in order to ensure you do not end up paying not to take a holiday. When we plan a vacation, we often do not think of all the little details which could end up as a cause to cancel the whole trip. Things such as illness or an accident might result in trip cancellation. Moreover, you might get sick or injured while in a foreign country, in which case it is absolutely vital to prepare for this unfortunate circumstance in order to reduce the risk of being caught off guard. Before buying an insurance policy for your trip, you must know that different sorts of trips call for different sorts of travel insurance. For instance, a family of four will be best served by a policy that offers protection against anyone in the family getting sick or injured. As any parent knows, a sick child can turn a hotel room into a hospital pretty quickly and end up costing mom and dad money as well as a good time. Family vacations tend to involve a lot of risk as there is more than one person who can run into trouble and ruin the vacation whereas a youth traveling in a group or alone need only worry about themselves.

There are five basic aspects to travel insurance: trip cancellation, travel medical, travel major medical, emergency medical evacuation and accidental death. The type of trip you are on will often determine what type of insurance you will need. If you are not traveling outside the country, emergency evacuation is probably unnecessary as it is major medical insurance. For domestic trips, most common type of insurance is trip cancellation as it is easy to foresee any number of circumstances where trips might be cancelled. In large countries such as the United States and Canada, a plane, train or bus ticket can be cross-continental and very expensive, so some insurance against an abrupt cancellation can help guard against losing your ticket entirely.

Medical Insurance, as we have seen, is usually important only when traveling to a foreign destination. In particular, for people accustomed to the temperate climate of most states and provinces, a trip to nations closer to the equator can result in exposure to a host of diseases to which our immune systems are not well adapted. For these types of trips, major medical travel insurance is an absolute must, as the risk of illness is great. In addition to these basic travel insurance plans, there are now specialized plans for specialized travel. Business travel often involves tight deadlines and appointments which, if they are missed, can render the whole trip a waste of time. Also, as companies often need to send a team of people, there are group travel insurance rates available. For those who plan to stay a long time in a foreign country, there are specialized expatriate travel insurance policies available that cover the risk incurred from a long stay away from the relative safety and security of North America. For participants in extreme sports, such as mountain climbing or base jumping, be careful to check that you policy does not exempt you from benefits for undertaking such dangerous activities.

Private Jet Rental Around the World

by Ray Lam

Is buying a private jet more impressive than say for example buying a luxury sports car? Well, I don’t know the answer for sure but it is worth investigating and doing a price comparison on the two. One of the most common questions which comes up when discussing private jets is that once you buy a private jet how long does it take the manufacturer or the dealer or the provider to actually finish building the private jet to your exact specifications?

You save a lot of time by opting for private jet rentals. You avoid long queues and also the security lines in the crowded terminals of schedule aviation. You can also fix the schedule for private jets according to your own planning and needs. You can communicate your schedule to the operator and they will follow it to the letter.

Private jet rentals are more secure than the schedule aviation, and more and more people are realizing this fact that the security concerns are needed to give attention to! Comfort and leisure are the two most salient features of private jet rentals-if you are looking for comfort and to reduce the travelling time, private jet rentals provide you that option. You can save the flying time and stay with your family or associates for longer.

Even in this age of the highest gas prices ever seen, it isn’t holding back the jet charter industry. A lot of the bigger companies are coming out with eco-jet and greener technologies and can offer flights that are less harmful to the environment.

There is really no sense in forking out a fortune when you can always get a better deal without compromising on quality and safety if you look around. With a little bit of research on the net, you can find a reputed chartering company that also charges a reasonable fee for their services. So when you decide to hire a private jet, do your research and find out all the necessary information and then make an informed decision. After all you are spending huge bucks to charter a private jet. So why not choose the best of the lot?

Using Manchester Public Transport To Avoid Congestion

by James Steven Blackburn

Manchester is the UKs second city after London and like the capital boasts a large transport network with many different ways of getting around the city:

Metrolink - The Metrolink has been running since April 1992 and has become a quick and easy method of getting in and out of Manchester and around the city centre with trams running from Bury in the north of Manchester through the centre and to Altrincham and Eccles in southern Greater Manchester. The city centre has seven tram stops with two at Manchester’s major railway stations, Victoria and Piccadilly which provide transport links to the rest of the country. The trams run every 12 minutes and are quick to get to the centre with the longest journey being taking 25 minutes to get from Bury to Manchester. The trams also provide a quick link between Piccadilly and Victoria stations where passengers may need to go between the two stations to catch their next train.

Bus - Manchester has several major bus station situated on Chorlton Street, Shudehill Interchange and Piccadilly gardens. These are all situated within walking distance to Manchester’s two major railway stations, Piccadilly and Victoria. All three bus stations are also very close to a Metro stop. Manchester runs a series of free buses which people can jump on and off at any designated stop and Manchester features a series of bus lanes on roads in and out of the city to assist the buses in keeping on time.

Train - With Manchester being the UK’s second city it has the busiest major station outside London in England for passenger use. With links to every major town and city in the country. Piccadilly?s main link is with London Euston with a journey time of two and a half hours.

Car - Manchester’s road network is understandably busy considering Manchester’s size. Drivers can make use of the M60 ring road which circles the city enabling easy aces to various roads into Manchester meaning that drivers don’t have to drive through the centre and can go around and in on a different road which can be quicker for them.

Plane - Manchester Airport is the fourth busiest airport in the United Kingdom and is the busiest outside London handling over 22 million passengers a year with flights from all over the world. The airport features good train and bus links with the city centre meaning people transfer quickly to the city; this is very useful for those who are attending meetings in the city centre.

As you can see from the paragraphs above Manchester?s transport network is very well linked together with many interchanges to help passengers go from one type of transport to the other quickly so they can continue their journey with a minimum of disruption.

Manchester does have a series of proposed changes and improvements to the current transport network. Mainly the tram network is going to be extended so it reaches more towns in Greater Manchester and also will extend to the airport bringing another valuable link to help people get where they need to go quicker. Also planned is an increase in the amount of trams which run along the lines with new trams being bought to run alongside the existing ones to bring the total of trams to over 100.

The train network is also going to see improvements with more carriages on a lot of services during peak times. Also stations will get new indicator boards to provide better information to passengers so there is no confusion over where the train arriving is going to and when it will arrive.

Planning Your Dream Montana Elk Hunt

by Mark Richards

Hunting is something that has been going on ever since the ancient times. This used to be done as a form of survival, for food. Today, hunting has evolved into a hobby, a form of leisure for those who seek excitement. Fowl is a common prey when it comes to hunting. If you seek bigger game then, elk is definitely for you.

Big game hunting includes elks, which are some of the biggest species of deer that we have. Montana is known for hunting and elk is one of the main attractions. Before you set out on your hunting trip, make sure that you know everything there is to make it your dream vacation.

Don’t forget that hunting isn’t all about luck. If you know where to look then there is a chance that you will find what you are looking for. Familiarize yourself with the area that you will be hunting in by pre scouting. If you don’t have time to do this check with the department in charge and they should be able to give you information.

Know what type of food and habitats elks look for at the time that you are going. If you can find their source of food and know where they will be staying then they can’t be far away. It’s also always a good idea to have someone with good knowledge on this with you, such as guide or hunting outfitter.

Make sure that you have the right license for Montana elk hunting before you even set out. Montana has online license sales that can help you make sure you get a license even before you go to Montana. This is something that you won’t want to forget, since you won’t be able to hunt without it.

It will be a good idea to check out Montana’s hunting regulations. You may also find additional information that may help make your elk hunting experience better. This information may be available online or directly in the Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks office.

Pack everything that you will need. Some of the things that you won’t want to forget on your dream vacation would be a camera, binoculars, insect repellent and sunscreen. Keep in mind that you will need appropriate clothing for hunting depending on the season. Don’t forget to pack a sleeping bag if you’re thinking about a wilderness hunt.

Staying in a place with great accommodations and Montana style home cooked meals would certainly top everything off. There are numerous places to stay, though you may find it difficult to get a place during peak seasons. Make sure that you have reservations before even getting there.

Cyprus Villa Rental Guide For Everyone

by Tim Martins

If you are going on holiday this year to Cyprus and staying in a rental villa, then you need to know what the most important points are to avoid any problems. In order to have a perfect holiday, just follow this basic guide and you will be guaranteed a problem free holiday in Cyprus.

The principle golden rule to avoid disaster is to use a reputable agency or at least one that has been given real recommendations by real people. The internet will also help you to find top recommendations as there are just loads of social bookmarking sites like Twitter.com whereby real people leave their comments on real life experiences. Following your holiday package confirmation and once you have the letting agencies full contact details, the first reservation payment can be paid. The safest and easiest way to pay on the internet is through a Paypal account and you don’t even need a credit card.

Another way to check on the letting agency is just putting their name into the Google search box and then check out the links that come up with their name in them. When it comes to paying, in order to get an over all picture of the price range you should compare the quoted prices on internet with others from a traditional high street travel agent. Take care with the amount paid on internet as they may be quoted in Euro, so check out current exchange rates through on line exchange converters such as xe.com.

Make sure you don’t leave home without having printed off arrival instructions to your Cyprus rental villa as you will find that taxi drivers may have problems if you don’t. In order to get a great overall look at your rental villa and the local surrounding area, then use Google Earth for an inner look at your holiday destination area.

You may be now scratching your head having already made your reservation, but hopefully there won’t be any problems to change at this point. By following these basic steps you will be able to find a perfect holiday destination in Cyprus and I hope you enjoy your time spent on this paradise island.
