A change in your career can bring about a shift in emotions. It could be exciting or scary, unexpected or planned. If you aren't prepared and don't know what to expect, a career change can even disrupt your personal goals. But as things evolve in your professional life, how do you keep motivated? Here are ways you can keep focused on your job and still find sufficient motivation to handle a career shift.

Know what is expected of you. A career shift can sometimes mean a change in career direction. What is your new job all about? How did it happen? Was it because of a promotion or a move? What kind of things have you done to arrive at your current level? Furthermore, with your new responsibilities, what kind of performance is expected from you? It will be easier to remain motivated if you know exactly what it is you're supposed to do.

Set new goals. Don't be afraid to make a few changes in your goals. Certain changes in your career sometimes call for a reassessment of your objectives. Identify the things that you need to achieve with this career shift to understand how to keep your motivation. You might be surprised at how outdated some of your goals are. With a career shift, you will have an opportunity to keep them fresh and exciting - another great reason to remain motivated.

Once you have these new set of goals, you'll have a clearer picture of your direction. You will also see that there are new experiences to be had. As you achieve each of these new goals one by one, you'll find even more satisfaction in your new career.

Learn from your past experience. Your past work would already have trained you on how to handle the demands of your new job. Try to compare your past job with the current one. You can easily keep your motivation regarding your career shift once you realize that your new job is offering you a different set of experiences. Perhaps you will be working with a new team or handling tasks you've never tried before or will be allowed to try things reserved only for a specific level of management. Just imagine the kind of possibilities that have opened up for you.

Be grateful for the new learning. One thing that will get you motivated about career shifts is that they help enhance your knowledge and skill base. A change in career direction is a surefire way to get out of a boring job or one that seems to be going nowhere. Keep your motivation and learn as much as you can. Take advantage of the new opportunity being given you.

Look at it from the point of view of a new learner. In fact, most career shifts will probably require you to take on new training - something that could benefit your new resume and for expanding your network of contacts.

Consider your career shift as a step towards improving yourself and your career. A career shift can keep your motivation going for the simple reason that it is an opportunity to advance in your career. A shift in your job means you aren't stuck in static phase and that there is actually a chance for you to move forward - perhaps in the same field or perhaps in a totally different direction.

The important thing is you keep moving and learning as you go.

You don't become a great player overnight. This is because it takes to learn to learn the ins and outs of a sport and in the game of golf you don't just hit the ball as far as you can so it can reach the hole. This is achieved by first working on some golf swing drills.

But why are golf swing drills important? This is because from the moment you raise the club in the air until the moment it goes down, proper technique will ensure that the ball will travel and land close to the hole as possible.

In golf, you start the game by teeing the ball. If you are new to the game, you probably hit the ball or sliced through it. The end result is that the ball will not travel as far as you want.

So you can improve your golf swing, you must first check on your grip because this controls the club face. You should make sure that you are forming the letter "V" with your thumb and forefinger on each hand and that these are pointed towards the trailing side shoulder.

Don't forget to relax because holding the club too tight with your hands will make it hard to get a good shot.

If you are practicing this drill, ask someone to watch if you are doing this correctly. If there is no one around, try to watch yourself in front of the mirror or record it using a video camera then play it back.

The important thing to watch out for when you practice this drill is your follow through. Some people start strong but then shift positions later on. The proper way of doing it is to make sure the toe of the club points up and the trailing side is released over your lead hand.

It is also possible that you are not maximizing your golf swing if you are not in the right position when you take the shot. To do this correctly, imagine that you and the ball are inside a small square. Better yet, put some masking tape on the floor and then practice swinging.

If this is not the problem for your shots, check on your divots. If the angle is to shallow, you should practice hitting the ball on a side hill below the feet. Should this angle be too deep, do the exact opposite. Hit the ball on a side hill above the feet.

Some golfers have a problem with their flat swing. If you are one of them, do some swings with your back 6 inches away from a wall. If you don't butt or your back does not come into contact with the wall, then you are doing this correctly.

In golf, the winner is determined by whoever has the least number of strokes after completing 18 holes. The golf swing drills mentioned are very simple so you don't have to buy anything to improve your game. You just have to make some adjustments to your form with the help of coach, a mirror or a camera. If you are able to make the necessary improvements, there is no doubt that you will perform much better in your next golf game.

Through the years, various tapestries have been acknowledged for its magnificent artwork. To give you an idea, here are a few of them.

The first tapestry shows evidence that one of the first made was done by the Greeks. This is referred to as the Sampul tapestry that was discovered in the Tarim Basin inside a mass grave dating back to the 3rd century BC.

The tapestry represents a Greek soldier while some argue that it is a centaur. Regardless of who is in the figurine, more than 24 different kinds of thread were used in making it. People will be able to see this when they visit the Xinjiang Museum in Urumqi, China.

Three centuries later, the Hestia tapestry was discovered. This one stands out because this was made from both linen and wool. People who would like to see it will be happy to know that this is displayed in Washington D.C.

Some tapestries tell the audience a story and this is exactly what you see in the Bayeux tapestry. The drawings explain the events leading up to the Norman invasion of England and the invasion itself with what is happening written in Latin. If you want to see the original, you will have to go to a museum in Normandy, France or just enjoy its replica in Berkshire, England.

The longest tapestry in the world is the Apocalypse tapestry and this depicts scenes from the Book of Revelation. It took 9 years to finish and sadly, only 100 meters is left of this artwork.

Everyone is well aware of the paintings of Michelangelo in the Sistine chapel. But are you aware that there were also tapestries here that have historical significance? Yes, there are a few of these designed by Raphael. These depicted in the life of St. Peter and St. Paul as described in the gospel and the Acts of the Apostles. Only a handful of these survive as many of these were either burned or stolen when Rome was sacked during the 16th century.

When the production of tapestries moved from northern France to Belgium, it was here that the Spanish royal collection was made. It consists of 8,000 meters of historical tapestry with some designed by Goya himself. The challenging part given the large number of artwork made is that you won't see this all in one museum since this is displayed in various historical buildings.

The nice thing about these works of art is that you don't have to visit these places just to see it up close and personal. Because there is a demand for these pieces, museums and art dealers are selling replicas of these to the public. You just have to find someone who specializes in this and then buy it from them so you can display it in your home.

If you don't want a replica, you can choose from the various designs available or commission someone to make your own personal tapestry.

There are other famous tapestries aside from those mentioned. Unfortunately, there are only a handful of these that are still made old fashioned way when it can be produced in vast quantities thanks to new technology. Some argue that this improves the quality of these products but there are limits to what it can do compared to the talent of a person.

All golfers want that perfect golf swing that they can always rely on. It is a swing that can be used effectively with either a wood or iron. You can tee off and drive with it, adapting to changes in wind and terrain. It is a swing that can get you out of bad situations like bunkers and even water. It is a swing that is as simple as it can get, yet can be versatile and dependable.

That isn't happening though if your swing has slice.

Perfecting that golf swing definitely isn't easy, no matter how you look at it. It takes a lot of experimentation and practice to get the kinks out of the swing. However, the real fact about this is that it is actually simpler than you think. It is mostly about what you do during your swing.

Simplify

One tip that always works is to always keep your swing simple. With as few movements as possible, you can take away unnecessary movements that may be both a waste of energy and bad for your swing. There is no real need for your elbows to bend during the swing and you have to only pivot with your feet as you follow through. There is no need to take an extra step or anything, which can skew with the shot.

Rhythm

Of course, if you can't improve by yourself, then get a coach who can teach you the finer points of improving your golf swing. Balance and correct positioning are crucial to a good golf swing. However, without rhythm, you can never achieve these two things. You are to ensure that you can have a smooth rhythm in your swing to fix whatever you need to fix. You can hum a tune, sing a song, count, or do whatever is necessary to get a rhythm down to swing correctly.

Hand and Wrist Position

Another tip is to always mind hand and wrist position. One of the major causes of slicing is that the club is twisted during the swing, which makes it hit the ball in a crooked manner, driving it in directions other than straight ahead. This is due to the hands and wrists twisting during the swing because of wrong positioning. The technique must be refined in order to correct this mistake.

Interlocking your hands by connecting the little and ring finger of your dominant hand with the index and middle finger of your complementary hand (never call that other hand 'weak') to solve this problem. This can help you prevent that unnecessary twist with a little practice. It can also help you improve in terms of accuracy and distance.

Straighten Your Spine

Always have your spine straight and acting as an axis for your swing. The importance of spine alignment can never be understated when it comes to golf. Imagine yourself as a pendulum with your spine as the point of axis. This can help you simplify your golf swing in a great deal.

Hip Rotation

With that spine straight and fingers interlocked, you must also remove excess hip rotation in your golf swing. While lots of hip rotation is something that can make a punch stronger, this is not boxing. In golf, that hip rotation causes slicing, and that can damage your game. Therefore, you must keep hip rotation as minimum as it is required. However, don't mistake this for removing hip rotation in your swing as it is still required to generate power in your swing.

Therefore, study how much hip rotation is needed to improve your swing. These tips, along with lots of practice, can help you remove that slice and achieve distance and accuracy in your golf swing.

The sight of those unwanted veins on your face and on your legs can make you want to rush to your trusted doctors for varicose and spider vein treatment. Although the technology with regards to the cure for such occurrence is continuously developing, people also remain in constant search for some permanent solutions to what they deem as a problem.

Finding a solution to the perceived problem cannot be categorized as mere vanity. Maybe you just want to feel good and you are also concerned about the health risks that these cases may bring forth. It is when you can no longer perform your daily tasks and your life and job is affected by your ultimate goal of concealing the veins that this becomes a personal issue.

Women are more prone to spider veins. The reason for this is the hormonal change that they go through especially during the menopausal period. But men also suffer from the situation.

The Development of the Veins Who ever likes the emergence of the unwanted veins in their faces and legs? But you cannot do anything about it. You may slow down the process, but as you age, you will have to face the truth that the veins are there to stay. It is of course not unless you are willing to pay the price for these veins to be removed through medical procedures.

If you are wondering how these veins develop, here's a brief overview to give you an idea.

Do you know how the veins work in the circulation of the blood throughout your body? First off, the heart pumps the blood to be able to supply the needed nutrients and oxygen on the different parts of the body. The arteries are responsible to carry the blood from the heart to your body parts. The veins, on the other hand, carry the blood from various parts of the body and bring it back to the heart.

It is amazing how the body works. But just like machines, the body gets old and rusty as it ages, thus the emergence of sickness, weakness and other signs of aging.

The veins act as the one-way valves. They aim to prevent the blood from flowing back to where they've been before it can reach the heart. Through time, these valves weaken. As a result, the blood can leak back to the vein. If the vein has collected enormous amount of blood, this can cause decongestion and the vein will be clogged. This is why the vein expands and becomes enlarged and swollen. The result will be either varicose or spider veins.

What's the difference?

Spider veins are nearer on the surface of the skin. These are smaller and they appear in red or bluish colors. Varicose, on the other hand, looks more swollen. It appears like the veins will pop out of the skin any time, although it can be found deeper than the spider veins. This appears in the colors blue and deep purple. When a woman is pregnant, she's prone to develop varicose veins around the vaginal area. These are more known as hemorrhoids.

You can consult your trusted dermatologists for any vein problems. Spider vein treatment is easier than curing varicose and hemorrhoids. It doesn't pose much health risks than the two.

Writing motivating poems is simple and easy. If you don't believe that then you probably need to read one or two of them yourself. Here are other tips to help you write a motivating poem.

Find a source of inspiration. Inspiration can come from within but it can also be an external source. Either way is fine as long as it helps you think of good and happy thoughts.

Write freely and write from the heart. Don't think about what other people would say. Remember that you are writing for yourself and to make others happy. Concentrate on what your heart is telling you. Think about the things that make you happy and write about that. In writing motivating poems, the first things you should focus on are its content and message. Worry about grammar, rhyme, and the likes after and not before.

Be patient. Writing a motivating poem is truly simple and easy, but there's also the right time to do it. If no words seem to sound right then maybe you should give it a rest and get back to it when you're feeling more inspired. Wait for your muse to come. Wait for Lady Luck to smile on you. The right time will come sooner and later and when it does, you'll be surprised at fast you'll be scribbling down those words.

Be flexible. Motivating poems must not be rigid. Don't begin your poem with strict, inflexible views on how it should be. Neither should you force your feelings to conform to your expectations. When you do that, it won't end up a motivating poem. Remember: a poem can only motivate when it's written by a person who's motivated and with the intention to motivate.

Pray or meditate. If you are a religious person, pray to God and He shall help you find the grace and strength you need to make a beautiful motivating poem. After all, there is no better source of inspiration than God Himself, is there?

Remember, however, that prayers are more effective when they're two-way. Don't spend the whole time talking to God, telling Him what He already knows and asking what He already intends to give. Part of praying also involves listening. This is harder than speaking to God because sometimes, we are blind and deaf to what God is telling us.

An alternative to praying is meditation. Meditating is more effective and easier to achieve if you're in a room where you can be alone and be free from distractions. Start with a couple of breathing exercises, imagining all the while that every time you inhale, you take in peace and every time you exhale, you remove stress from your system.

Focus inwards and soon, your mind, heart, and soul will tell you whatever you need to know in order to make a motivating poem.

Take all criticism constructively. When you are done writing your poem, leave it for a day or two then review it once more and see if you can think of something to revise. When you're satisfied with your poem, have a loved one read it.

If they voice out certain concerns, remember that they are only doing so for your own good. Take criticism constructively; listen to what they have to say, learn from your mistakes, and make your poem better. And if you need more motivation and inspiration, look for your favorite poem and re-read it.

Kidney stones can happen to anyone regardless of gender or age. But studies have shown that this is more common during middle age and three times more in men. So what the symptoms of kidney stones?

The most common symptoms of kidney stones include bloating, blood in the urine, cloudy or foul-smelling urine, an increase in the frequency of urination, nausea and vomiting, pain during urination and tenderness in the abdomen and kidney region.

You may also experience pain that goes on and off. This may last for minutes to several hours which you may feel in the kidney, lower abdomen or groin. You may also have chills, fevers and a loss of appetite which happen to be the same symptoms associated with urinary tract infection or UTI.

What happens then? To find out what is really going on, you have to see your doctor. Once there, you will answer a few questions and then undergo several tests to see if you have kidney stones or not. The results of the test will determine what type of treatment will be done.

If the kidney stone measures 4 mm in diameter or less, there is a strong chance that you don't need surgery and your body can expel it. If it is 8 mm and above, this is the only time that medical intervention is needed.

Medical intervention is another way of saying surgery. There are 4 types of surgery that can help treat kidney stones and these are namely ESWL or extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy, PNL or percutaneous nephrolithotomy, ureteroscopic stone removal and open surgery.

Before you agree to any procedure, you have to know what type of stone is in your kidney. There are 4 types namely calcium, uric acid, struvite and cystine and knowing what it is can already tell you what caused it. It can also help you understand the type of treatment the doctor is recommending.

From there, you can ask how effective is the treatment that they are recommending and what are the risks.

Another good question you can ask is if the kidney stone has caused any permanent damage.

Kidney stones can also be treated by alternative medicine.

You can drink various herbs such as bearberry, cleavers, corn silk, crampbark, gravel root, kava kava, khella, seven barks and stone root. Homeopathic remedies include berberis vulgaris, cantharis, ocimum canum and pennyroyal. Hot packs may also work.

Keep in mind that alternative treatments for kidney stones can only be used if the stones can be expelled by the person. If not, this must be discontinued and a health professional should be the one who will monitor the situation.

Kidney stones should be taken seriously because things could get worse unless it is attended to immediately. You should know that even if the treatment is successful, kidney stones do recur and your best defense against that is prevention.

You will need to make some lifestyle changes and follow the doctor's directions because there are a few other things you need to know based on your chemical risk factors. In the end, the power is in your hands because this may put you at risk later on of kidney failure. While getting a transplant is possible, just remember that you have to wait because there are other people who also need it.

It is almost given that when one speaks of an England vacation, it gives an impression of an expensive trip. Thus, many who dream of visiting the British Museum, cheering for the football team Manchester United, taking a road trip to Stonehenge and other English cities and countryside remain as a dream for they don't have the money to pay for the trip. But it doesn't always have to be that way. There are techniques to keep your expensive low without compromising the total English experience.

Pick a good time to go - Cities in England, during high-season can provide the best weather and extra hours of daytime. However, places can be too crowded and too expensive. Off-season on the other hand can be very wet but, hey if you want to save on plane tickets and accommodation or if you want a less crowded vacation with a different English experience, this one is for you.

Shop for cheap plane tickets - Plane tickets can cover a big chunk of your travel budget so it is only fitting that if we want to cut big on expenses, one of the first things we should be concerned of is buying cheap plane tickets. Search online. There are lots of travel agency sites that offer good deals both on early bookings and last minute flight reservation.

Travel by train (if you plan to visit other European countries) - Europe is a fairly small continent and getting from one country to another only requires a few hours of train ride. So instead of booking for expensive plane tickets, requiring yourself to be at the airport early, going through a rigorous security procedures, waiting for a flight, and experiencing the same old boring plane ride, take the train. Not only you will see the countryside between cities, you can also by package where you can travel to a certain number of countries on limited days for unlimited train rides as necessary for one set price.

Skip the fancy hotel - We are all victims of luxury but if we want to stretch our vacation dollar in England, we should quit browsing for fancy hotels online. A night stay can cost more than what you earn in a week. So instead of star-rated hotels, prefer cheap dorm beds and budget chain hotels. They offer your basic requirement in accommodation. After all, when you arrive in England, you would not spend most your time in your hotel room. Search for cheap hotels online to get the best rate.

Skip the fancy restaurants - Aside from visiting infamous sites, tasting the local flavor is perhaps one of the better things to experience in England. However, if you choose to eat at fancy restaurants and local cafs that are flocked by tourists, be prepared. A typical lunch in a fancy restaurant and even in unsuspicious cafs can cost you big time. A good way to save on food is to eat where locals eat. Don't look just for a restaurant, watch where common people are going during lunch time. They can lead you to where delectable foods are, without the cost.

Finally, follow the road less traveled - An England vacation may be defined by the Buckingham Palace, the London Eye, Big Ben and Westminster Abbey. But the truth is there is more to England than these infamous sites. I am not saying that you skip the places you to visit.

What I mean is, there are lots of things to do in England that are inexpensive and equally enjoyable.

Some people think that one of the best ways to save money is by borrowing it through a credit card. But, not many people realize that borrowing money-either through a credit card or cash-doesn't help them to have stable finances. In fact, these would only make their problem bigger because later on, they will be paying more than they have borrowed.

If you are one those persons who are thinking that a credit card can help you somehow save the cash you have at hand, then now is the time to think twice. This is because credit cards-no matter how enticing and convenient these might seem-may be the most expensive loans made by banks, department stores, and gasoline companies for you. And if you don't say "any" to the temptation as early as now, you might experience financial burdens that can be hard to deal with in the future.

Saying "no"

No matter how one try there will always be times that he or she will give in to the temptation the credit card offers. This is because it is only natural for people to crave for material things. But, although wanting to have material belongings is innate to human beings, this doesn't mean that one cannot do something about it. To avoid having debt problems when one goes beyond your credit limit, the best way to go about it is saying "no" to credit cards for the mean time.

When a credit card is on a person's possession, it is damn hard to resist and indulge into the convenience it offers. But if you know that this is not one of the ways to save money and knowing how much the service provider collects from you, you would think twice before using it.

For those who are having problems with when saying "no" to credit card offers, experts say that that best way to go about it is to have a bit of reflection and financial analysis. If you know how much credit card issuers get from the transaction you engage with them, you will have hesitations in maximizing its use.

But, if it's inevitable to have a credit card, it is a must that you are very careful in choosing and using it. The first thing that you need to consider-when a credit card is offered to you-is to find its purpose. Make sure that before you give in to what a certain credit card offers, think of its purpose. And, when filling out an application for a credit card, it is also the best time to think how do you need it and how sure are you that you can comply with the conditions of having another card.

Also, it is best of you know the right kind of credit card that will suit your needs. Look for a credit card type that will work best for your specific situation. And, lastly, make sure that you know your limitations and capabilities. If you are really thinking of ways to save money, you must learn to pay bills on time so the interest and charges are as low as possible.

To ensure that you are keeping track of your finances, compile monthly statements and keep copies of sales receipts to double check the rates of the charges.
